The Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health Foundation Develops New Program on Achieving Optimal Hemostasis

The Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health Foundation has developed an innovative program designed as a forum and moderated roundtable discussion on the management and prevention of surgical coagulopathy.

“The Road to Optimal Hemostasis: Avoiding Misadventures in Bleeding and Thrombosis” brings together two experts in blood management, Jeffrey H. Lawson, MD, PhD, and Jerrold H. Levy, MD, FAHA, to exchange their thoughts on some of the hemostatic challenges currently facing the anesthesiology/surgical team in the OR and throughout recovery.

This program was originally broadcast on Professional Television Network-Healthcasts this past March, and in the first week, more than three times the expected weekly viewership tuned in to watch.

Look for more information on this program in upcoming newsletters. You will have the opportunity to participate in this learning activity on the Blood CME Center Web site and earn 1.5 CME credits.
